Offshore Telescopic & Knuckle Boom Cranes
The straight-arm telescopic crane can be used as a 5-ton, 6-ton, 7-ton, 8-ton and other electric and hydraulic-driven cranes, and the maximum tonnage can be 20 tons. The working radius is between 3-20 meters, with 360-degree rotation.

Ship Crane Types
(1) Upper Deck Crane on Ship
Machinery installed on the ship’s upper deck. This crane has a compact structure, so that the ship has more deck area to use, and has little effect on the sight of the bridge. Deck crane on ship has the advantages of simple operation, high loading and unloading efficiency, flexibility, and no cumbersome preparation before operation.
Fixed rotary crane, mobile rotary crane, and gantry crane are commonly used for ship deck cranes. There are two transmission modes: electric transmission and electric hydraulic transmission.
(2) Fixed Rotary Offshore Crane
This type of ship crane is the most widely used and can operate on the port and starboard separately or in pairs. The lifting weight is generally 3 to 5 tons. On multi-purpose ships, it is required that a single sea crane can lift 20-foot containers, and a double crane can lift 40-foot containers (30 tons), with a lifting capacity of 25 ~ 30 tons.
(3) Mobile Rotary Crane in Ship
When loading and unloading goods require a large crane span and the crane boom is not too long, mobile rotary cranes are often used. The mobile rotary crane has two types : transverse movement and longitudinal movement along with the ship.
(4) Gantry Sea Crane
This marine deck crane is widely used by full container ships (see container ships) and barges, usually quadruped or C-type. There is an extendable boom, a lifting rung, a movable bridge, and a cab. The horizontal main beam of the bridge is higher than the containers stacked on the deck, and there is an automatic positioning device. During shipment, the containers can be accurately placed in the container compartment or stacked on the deck. The number of gantry cranes on the barge is more than that on the container ship, and the lifting capacity can reach hundreds of tons.
(5) Other Handling Machinery
There are mainly elevators, hoists, and conveyors. An elevator is a machine that moves vertically along the guide rail on the ship for lifting and lowering goods between decks. For example, elevators are often used to connect all decks on RO or ships to transport goods.
Some cargo barges are also equipped with elevators to load and unload cargo barges. The elevator conveys goods continuously in a vertical direction or a large inclined direction. The conveyor conveys goods continuously in the horizontal direction or in the direction of a small slope. These two kinds of machinery are mostly used in self-unloading ships or ships that are loaded and unloaded through gangways.

How Should We Choose Boat Deck Crane?
1. The form of driving power often depends on the choice of the shipowner;

3. The size of the span, usually the overboard span should not be less than about 6m, and it must also meet the requirements of loading and unloading in the cabin, and also consider the location of the boom;

What to do for Ship Crane Inspection?
Daily check marine deck crane
There are operating drivers to carry out daily routine maintenance items, mainly for external cleaning, lubricating rotation work, adjusting and tightening parts, and testing the sensitivity and reliability of the safety device through operation, and whether there is abnormal sound during operation.
Weekly inspection ship cranes
It is jointly completed by the driver and maintenance workers. In addition to the daily inspection items, it mainly inspects the appearance of marine deck cranes, inspects the safety status of hooks, retrieval devices, wire ropes, etc., and the sensitivity and reliability of brakes, clutches, and emergency alarm devices. Observe whether there are abnormal noises and overheating of the transmission parts.
Monthly inspection boat cranes
The maintenance unit of marine lifting equipment and the relevant personnel of the user department jointly carry out the inspection of the power system, hoisting mechanism, slewing mechanism, operating mechanism, and hydraulic system of the marine crane in addition to the weekly inspection, and replacement of wear, deformation, and deformation. For cracked and corroded parts and components, check the reliability of the power feeder, controller, overload protection and safety protection device for the electrical control system. Check the failure symptoms caused by the leakage, pressure, temperature, vibration, noise and other reasons of the lifting machinery through test operation.
