Container Lashing Ring
A container lashing D-ring, also known as a container lashing ring or simply a lashing ring, is a metal component attached to the corner castings of a shipping container. It serves as a secure anchor point for attaching cargo restraints, such as ship ropes, chains, or straps, to prevent cargo movement during transportation.
The D-ring gets its name from its shape, which resembles the letter “D.” It is typically made of steel and has a sturdy construction to withstand the forces and loads exerted on it during container handling and transportation.
The purpose of a container lashing D-ring is to provide a reliable connection point for securing cargo and preventing shifting or damage. Multiple D-rings are typically installed on each corner of a shipping container to allow for versatile lashing configurations.
